Hello parents,

Red Ribbon week will be kicked off this Friday with the 'blacklight' afterschool dance. There are several events planned for next week and there are ample opportunities for parents to come and help out with the lunchtime fun! If you would like to help out please let me know.

Friday October 22nd Blacklight 6th-8th grade dance
2:00 - 3:00, set up and decorating
3:00 - 5:00 concession stand and dance chaperones
5:00 - 5:30 clean up

Tuesday October 26th - Basketball Shootout (extended lunch)
11:00 - 1:15 Wednesday October 27th - Cookie Eating Contest (regular lunch times)
The Hurley Fire Department will be here as well participating and helping out. Thank you Allison!!
11:00 - 1:15 Mar Val has graciously donated over 300 cookies for this event!!

Thursday October 28th - Tug-a-war (extended lunch)

Fall Bookfair - November 2nd - 5th
The Scholastic book fair will be held the first week of November in room 11. It will be open 15 minutes before school begins, closing promptly at 2:45 p.m. It will also be open during Fine Arts Night on November 3rd. This will give parents the perfect opportunity to shop and enjoy our first FMS Band performance this year along with all the great works of art from Gaseors class. If you would like to help out on any of these days morning, afternoon or Fine Arts Night, please let me know.

Cookie Dough Delivery - scheduled for November 4thCookie dough is scheduled to be available November 4th after 2:00 p.m. in the MRP. A notice will be sent home to students who have ordered cookie dough sometime next week with specific details. Please note that cookie dough will not be sent home on the bus unless permission has been granted by the parent and will need to be picked up.
